Edinburgh's Science Festival

Edinburgh International Science Festival – 30th March - 15th April 2012

Edinburgh International Science Festival, Scotland’s biggest, best annual celebration of science and technology, is a public celebration of all the wonders, inventions and innovations of the world of science and technology. Hundreds of scientists and technologists present a programme of engaging, interactive talks, workshops, shows and exhibitions.

Family friendly events, fun activities for children and ground-breaking insights from industry experts attract curious minds of all ages and backgrounds. From the science of ghosts, chocolate and laughter to the legacy of Charles Darwin and theories of Richard Dawkins the festival never ceases to be fun, fascinating and thought provoking.

The 2012 touring programme for Edinburgh International Science Festival is out now. This year, we're celebrating 21 years of touring Generation Science shows all over Scotland. The 2012 programme sees the return of some of Generation Science’s most popular shows like Little Giants, Fizz, Boom, Bang and Wonderful World of Water as well as some exciting new additions. We’ve teamed up with NVA to present Power from the People – a brand new workshop about generating green electricity to tie in with their Speed of Light project as part of Edinburgh International Festival in 2012.
